Calculator FAQ

How to read the trade result

How does the MM2 trade calculator work?

Add every item and quantity on both sides. The calculator totals the current listed values, shows the difference, and labels the result as a win, fair range, or loss by value.

What counts as a fair MM2 trade?

The calculator treats a value gap of five percent or less as a fair range. Demand, stability, item preference, and retrade difficulty still need a separate check.

Do duplicate items change the trade result?

Yes. Each quantity is multiplied by the item's current value, so duplicate weapons, pets, and small adds all affect the final total.

Why can an equal-value trade still be bad?

Equal totals do not measure demand or how easy an item is to trade again. Compare those factors before treating the calculator result as the final decision.
